Our Christmas News

We hope that you have a happy and blessed Christmas and that 2012 has been good for you.

Once again we have been able to see many of our family and friends and are yet still aware that there are many we have not been able to see. Despite that, rest assured that you are all very important to us. We will get to see you, and 2013 could be the year....

Tom is thriving in his work as a Careers Adviser and is now a team leader, with all the challenges that always brings. He has continued to enjoy his running, and did the Providence, Milton Keynes (both!), and Peterborough Half Marathons this year, not forgetting of course the Warren Cove Triathlon.  As well as this, he continues to write and is often happily locked to computer or notebooks to enjoy some downtime.  He does all he can to support Advantage Africa, the charity which many of you know he runs for. Thank you to everyone who has sponsored him this year.

Samuel is in his last year at school and so has been busy applying for universities. He has his offers and so now has to make his choice. It is looking like Queen Mary in London,as he really likes the History department there and he thinks it will have good links with employers.  Right now he is incredibly busy as he works two days+ a week in the restaurant of the Snozone.  We are proud of how hard he works.

Eleanor is in her last year of compulsory education and takes her GCSE exams this summer; so that makes Samuel taking A levels and Eleanor GCSEs. Oh boy!!!!  She is looking to see which school she wants to take her A levels at. She has started attending a performing arts academy on Saturdays and she is really loving it. Now she is going to be in a school production too.

Linda started her new role in September as an Improvement Partner for inclusion and she is training as an Ofsted inspector! Sorry everyone!  Actually she has learned a lot in the training and just did her first inspection.  She still manages the previous service she led, so she is very busy. Her illness has now been diagnosed as fibromyalgia, so she is having to try to re-learn how to pace herself. Not easy, if you know her well! Quilting and dyeing remain her outlets and joy.

We will send out this electronic Christmas greeting and post to those who do not have internet.

So please do let us know all your news. We devour it and value it.

May God Bless you richly,

Tom, Linda, Samuel and Eleanor xxxx

PS Here is Tom and Linda's recent trip to Rutland alone!!! Then follows Thanksgiving. Linda's technical ability will not allow insertion of  posts!!!

It was sunny and dry, but oh so cold! We didn't mind as we were in a beautiful county.

Whissendine Windmill.  The miller is an amazing character.

Looking out over Rutland Water. "I see no ships, only hardships"

Can you see the shivers?

Now on to Thanksgiving

We missed our American cousins and Gill, but we had a very good time with  the children's friends and our good friends from St Marys.

Tim, Jenny and Ruth (Simon sorry no photo..)
